PROGRAMS
Here's what we offer at the Ann Arbor Music Center:
Private Lessons
Lessons meet once a week for 30 minutes. Every student learns differently,
has unique goals and individual interests. We create a lesson plan
for each student that is strong in music fundamentals and geared
for the individual. Our instructors are all professional musicians
with years of study and teaching experience. We offer private lessons
in guitar, bass, drums, piano/keyboards, saxophone, flute, clarinet,
trumpet, trombone, mandolin, recorder and ukulele. We accept students
from beginner to advanced in all styles.
Rock Band School
Rock Band School is a program designed to teach the art of rock
performance. Once a student has learned the basics he/she can join
a band that meets weekly with an instructor. Students learn songs
and study arrangement, improvisation and performance techniques.
We're constantly preparing for performances. Our Rock Band School
puts on shows at a local Starbucks to give our students the full
rockin' experience.

Youth Jazz Ensemble
Students who want to prepare for a middle school or high school jazz band will benefit from our jazz band program. This program is open to students of piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, clarinet and flute. We'll learn jazz standards and methods of improvisation. Classes meet weekly for one hour and students perform in public regularly. Jazz Band School is also the perfect supplement for students whose school doesn't offer a jazz program.
Blues Band School - Check out BluesBandSchool.com
Our Blues Band School is open to adults who want to join a working blues band. You don't need any experience, just the ability to play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, harmonica or saxophone. In the Blues Band School you'll learn by doing. We play the great classic blues of Muddy Waters, BB King, Howlin' Wolf and more. Classes meet weekly for 60 minutes.
