Prerequisites: We teach students of all levels at camp, but we ask that absolute beginners sign up for lessons several weeks prior to the start of camp.

​

This year we are offering TWO WEEKS of camp. You can join us for just one or both!

ROCK BAND BOOT CAMP-

ROCK BAND BOOT CAMP (ages 8 and up):

INSTRUMENTS: GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, KEYBOARD,  VOICE, VIOLIN and others.

This week long, AMAZING ROCK CAMP provides a fun, yet diverse educational curriculum to offer a unique summer music experience. This life-changing camp checks all the boxes: SO much fun, VERY educational, OPPORTUNITY to make lifelong friends, and IMPRESS your friends and family with an amazing rock show. Every morning the campers will rotate through various hands-on environments with specific tasks and goals. At this rock band camp, we will learn the essentials of musicianship and teamwork in order to put on an EPIC rock show on Friday! For the duration of the week, campers will be paired with other young musicians who will learn how to emulate rock greats by working with our knowledgeable instructors (our actual pro teachers, not camp counselors). Later in the week, each band will be given a ridiculous prompt from which they will write an original song or two. Campers will learn how to sing scales and how to integrate their scale knowledge with famous rock melodies. Additionally, the campers will learn the fundamentals of rhythm through music games. The campers will also learn how to troubleshoot their gear so they will feel right at home on stage during their epic rock performance. Music campers will learn how to rehearse with a group and how to develop good group practice skills while having huge fun.

Our camp performance will be at our own performance space that is right in the middle of our music center. This is an amazing opportunity to maximize our practice time and stage skills while learning the importance of performance set up and equipment preparation. Our many practice rooms give us plenty of opportunity for private or group work as we write songs.

​

**Camp includes lunch with a drink and a snack every day. We think it's

important to support our community while indulging in the delicacies that Saline has to offer. While we haven't locked down the menu yet, we promise it will not disappoint! Of course, Alex Johnson will whip up his special 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwiches with secret sauce - it's a camp favorite! Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and allergy free options are available all days - just let Karen know ahead of time.We also have a super fun field trip to the local Dairy Queen for Ice Cream!
